CAVE ROOM

Set back within the rock of the main house is this traditional double cave bedroom. The doorways and ceilings are traditionally low, adding to the cosy and contained feel of cave dwelling. Just outside the room is a beautiful bathroom with large overhead shower. As this room is underground it does not have windows, but is ventilated and maintains an ambient all year round temperature. Perfectly cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Cave dwelling is not what it used to be – especially in Andalusia!
Nowadays more people are attracted to the idea of escaping from the busier resort areas of the Costas. As well as a more peaceful environment; the cave houses (casas cuevas) have more to offer than ever before. This new troglodyte trend is by no means a move back to the Stone Age. The 21st century Andalusian cave house is surprisingly well equipped with all mod cons, so as modern day cave dwellers we have not regressed to being Neanderthal. As well as the necessary water, gas and electricity supplies, we have a good broadband connection, swimming pool, bar and barbecue area.
Join your hosts Spencer and Paul in this magnificent 200 m2 country house complex. It sits within a south facing walled garden, in a private elevated position with fantastic views over olive groves, fields and the far away Sierra Nevada mountains. The complex features a variety of accommodation with 4 guest rooms, and plenty of areas to relax.

The Negratín reservoir, one of the most fascinating enclaves of the province, has the first naturist beach in the interior of Andalusia just 10 minutes away.

The house is just over an hour away from the cosmopolitan city of Granada, with it’s famous Moorish architecture , bustling street bazaars and of course the incredible Alhambra.

The local towns here still maintain many of the traditions that have existed for centuries, and throughout the year there are many religious festivals and fiestas for everyone to enjoy.
