Newly built eco house in the “hobbit” style. Luxurious inside whilst eco friendly outside. Large room with ensuite bathroom, fitted kitchen, sun terrace and just a few paces to the heated dipping pool and outdoor heated shower.

“What a godsend this find was. We got lucky booking this at the last minute – we weren’t even sure we wanted to explore this part of Costa Rica. But we took the risk and drove for 7 hours to get here. And wow when we got here we fell in love with both this property and the surrounding lush beauty and gorgeous beach sunsets. This is more than just (edited phrase). In addition to having our own cosy self-sufficient home (covered in colorful plants), just steps from the outdoor patio, overlooking the mountains, we had access to Marisa and Phil’s private rainforest which includes a waterfall. The little dipping pool was always a treat (and warm at night). Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, by offering us homegrown fruits, giving us botanical tours, taking us for walks, countless suggestions for local hiking and activities. We also enjoyed making friends with the countless animals on the property. The roosters gave us a reason to go to sleep early which we welcomed. The highlight: playa tortuga – which is just across the entrance to Ojochal. Don’t hesitate – go to Ojochal, stay in this Casa.”

My wife and I stayed for 9 nights at Casa Botanica in January and it was wonderful. Marisa and Phil were so welcoming and the setting is so lush and magical. Beautiful flora, even covering the house! and amazing hummers. We even enjoyed the chickens, roosters and turkeys!
